Poor Keyword Research Causes Anxiety Attacks

For those trying to earn money online few things are worse than spending all that time and money setting up a new website or blog and spending countless marketing it only to find it never ranks well and/or has no profitability with the traffic it does bring. Moment by moment the stress and anxiety rise with each login to adsense to see you earned a couple dollars for the day or into your affiliate managers to see no sales.

If only you had started out targeting profitable keywords that were high in demand and low in supply then all this stress and anxiety could have been avoided :-)

Instead of feeling stress and anxiety and running the risk of anxiety attacks lets target them to make some money shall we? :-)

The chart below shows the results of using “anxiety” as our seed keyword into Niche Inspector. The result is 7 terms which meet our definition of a profitable niche

  1. High Demand
  2. Low Supply
  3. Profitability

The higher the KEI then the better chance you have of ranking well in the search engines. Profitability is determined by using the current bid prices that PPC marketers are paying for that search term. My personal favorite is anxiety attacks

Stress and Anxiety

If your just starting out head over to blogger and setup a free blog and register for an adsense account and start blogging on the topic of anxiety attacks. To increase your blogs SEO power and interactivity I highly recommend taking a look at the Web 2.0 Wealth System, which will take you from beginner to Pro with easy step by step videos.

Stress and Anxiety Gone Here is a product I had good conversions with from my own anxiety attacks blog. Click on the image to the right and scroll down to the affiliate link to register from free.

Additional products you could promote from your anxiety attacks blog can be found here

NOTE: A popular affiliate marketing technique is to write honest reviews on multiple products, what you like and don’t like about each, then let your readers decide which one to buy. (tell them to buy both so they don’t stress out :-))

Well there you have it, another Profitable Niche that is very attainable and can be started for the cost of your time to start taking action.

We have been told over the years that simple KEI is not the only factor. Keyword research also involves allinurl, allintitle and some other calculations AFTER KEI for anxiety attack prevention.

Good luck with your anxiety attack test ;)

Jason, you bring up good points that are covered in the free Niche Inspetor report. The initial KEI can bring up pages which are not actually targetting the keyword but do appear in the search results, hence the use of allinurl and allintitle as indicators that the page in quesiton is truly after that keyword or phrase.

I recall that there are some options in Niche Inspector to have those included as part of the results and now you have inspired me to go deeper into this, thank you ;-)

Dave: You’re giving me a BIG headache. I think alot of this keyword research stuff (KEI, blah blah blah) would make alot of sense to me if i knew PPC, right?

As PPC is the one area of net marketing i have yet to touch. I’ve been meaning to dabble in it and try it, but have not yet. Will make it a goal for 2008.

So far, my keyword research technique, involves going to a keyword tool and typing in my word for related words and for search volume. NOT that advanced i know. I have alot to learn i see. OMG.

Will check out your blog for tips, and thanxs for visiting my blogs. I see your avatar there alot. Thanxs.

    Happy Holidays!

    Hi Missy,

Sorry to give you a headache :-) What it really comes down to is Supply and Demand.

    Here is a hypothetical example

Lets say you have the choice between doing a blog about polar bears and blue whales. Lets also, for simplicity, say that both have the same amount of searches per month. What is different is there are 10 million pages about polar bears and only 100,000 about blue whales.

It would obviously be easier to get better ranking by doing a page about blue whales because it is not as “crowded”.

both have the same demand (number of searches) but the supply is different.

KEI is nothing but a number that reflects the potential of a particular niche. The higher it is then the more likely you can do well in that market.

Most marketers start with finding a product they like then try to find someone to sell it to. The correct way is to find a problem people are looking to solve that no one, or few people have given a solution to.

In terms of bloggers, write about information that people are looking for which isn’t being given by everyone else and their dog.

Honestly, I would download Myleena Phan’s free report from http://www.profitable-niche.com/nicheinspector
    She explains it very well.

I agree, good keyword research is critical to a successful site, but good copywriting is just as important if you want to get orders placed.

I’ve always recommended ignoring KEI. Why? Because you cannot really measure demand. KEI measures how many web pages are relevant for a search term, not how many are competing for it.

I use this analogy. If you have to move across New York City, would you prefer to be doggedly pursued by ten thugs searching for you high and low, tracking you down? Or would you prefer to cross the city while 1000 thugs are over at Louie’s Sports Bar cheering for their favorite World Cup team?

If there are 10 or 15 websites aggressively pursuing certain search terms, and there are just 2 or 3 websites aggressively pursuing certain others, it really does not matter what the KEI is; go where the competition is lightest, even if there are way more relevant pages.
